Your First Visit

Your dentist will first review your medical history.  There has long been evidence, and more recently, many studies supporting the fact that your overall health and condition of the oral cavity are directly related. Please tell us if you have any specific questions or concerns regarding your dental health.  A thorough visual and x-ray examination will also be accomplished.  In many cases we will also clean your teeth at this appointment.  However, due to certain medical conditions or because of underlying gum disease, a dental cleaning may not be appropriate at this first appointment.  We can also discuss ways to improve your smile.  Your dentist will develop a treatment plan for you, and discuss the options available to achieve oral health and create a nice smile.
